I am truly and rightfully SCARED. It's week 8. Of 11. WEEK. EIGHT. Ya get that?! Next week is Thanksgiving. I'm gonna miss a day of portfolio class and advanced material & lighting class. I need to compile my demo reel. I'm completely distracted by Doctor Who Domination Week. And I've gotten completely overcome with 2 sudden new comic book ideas. And then, of course, there's all those backlogged requests I have that I haven't had the time to do ANYTHING about, and my little dry erase board just sits there on my fridge, right next to my computer desk, MOCKING ME.
Trying to encourage myself to finish some of the little pieces I've started working on to add 2D pieces to my demo reel and I just keep working on other things, getting distracted, or getting into an apathetic stupor and doing nothing. The worst part is trying to shake that off. *shakes head violently* AUGH. I'm gonna go buy some of those Starbucks espresso things for my fridge again. I was doing lots of work with those.
Luckily, I've already finished my Game Design & Game Play class assignments up to the finish line, my internship doesn't require me coming in the way a normal one would because he doesn't have a due date for my pieces, and he knows I'm gonna finish it all. Which will definitely be a lot easier when I've graduated. So looking forward to that. My Advanced Material & Lighting class is a bit difficult, but I have plenty of pre-made models that I have decided to do strict compositing and maybe a bit of matte painting in the composite if I have the time and energy before week 11 starts up.
Luckily, I have a great copy of Toon Boom Animation that I hope to mess around with and maybe even work on some music videos I've had plans for for awhile. And get this, if I do good enough on my 2D music videos, I may actually get paid to continue doing others I've already had plans for. Graduating from doing things I hate and going straight into getting paid for things I love to do? Well isn't that wizard.
